To our friends who celebrate Chanukah with us, Hag Sameach!! To our non-Jewish friends, Merry Christmas. We went and took our Holiday photo today. Morgan was not very cooperative, so here are the 3 (that is right, 3 total) pictures we were able to use from the session.

Our Fall Visit to Pilot Mountain

This October, we decided to take Morgan up to see the leaves changing at Pilot Mt. She had a great time collecting pine cones and is still talking about it. And the pine cones are proudly displayed in a basket on our dining room table.

Morgan's Pony from Uncle Carol

Morgan received a ride on pony from Memaw's brother, Uncle Carol when he came to visit from Asheville. When you press the pony's ears, it makes noises and even wags its tail. She loves it!!

Go Panthers!

Bob and Bill ventured out to the Panthers Game Sunday. It stopped raining just in time and they had a great time watching the Panthers win.

Barney!!

After repeating "I go see Barney tomorrow" for the last 4 weeks, Morgan finally got to go this past Saturday. She was so excited all she kept asking to do was go up on the stage. Overall, she had a great time watching the show intently, dancing and singing.

Shana Tova!

Happy New Year to all our friends and family that celebrate Rosh Hashanah with us. Morgan was very excited about going to synagogue Friday night. She got all dressed up and even went up on the bimah during the Kiddush and had a sip of wine (which she then wanted more of). We hope everyone has a happy, healthy new year. Bev

A new bike for Morgee...

On a recent trip to Toys R Us, Morgan discovered this bike and amazed us with her ability to not only pedal but steer it around the store by herself. She loved it so much and was so proud of herself we just had to bring it home and she sure loves it!!

Sink Bath

Morgan has found a new way to get clean in the evenings. What began as washing hands and face and brushing teeth has turned into.... well, you can see for yourselves. She is a hoot!!

Back to school...again

Greetings! Thought I would post a quick update. I started back at school for the 2006-2007 school year and today was the first official day back. It looks like we are going to get off to a very positive start. My theme for my speech students this year is "Fishing for Good Speech" and there are fish all over my room. I will add new updates as the year progresses.

School is almost here....

Greetings!
It has been awhile, I know. Life has kind of just kind of meandered along as summer break from school is coming to a close. I go back this Friday and the students come back Friday the 25th. Aimee will be entering 8th grade and got the teachers she wants and is very happy to be going back to school. It sounds almost crazy, but she trully cannot wait. Morgan will be moving up at Daycare from the Monkey room to the Chipmunk room where they toilet train them. WOO HOO. We'll keep you updated about that. Other than that, we will keep on keeping on and update everyone as often as possible. Love to all! Bev

The Deck...finished and beautiful

Here it is... the deck is finished and beautiful. Bob is a master. He blows me away with his talent every time. We are enjoying our newly furnished deck and Bob is getting to grill out more and more often. I am loving it! And everytime Morgan goes outside she thanks Bob. "Thank you for building a deck for me Daddy." It is so sweet it melts your heart everytime.

Brandy is recovering nicely

Brandy had her surgery on Tuesday. All went well. She had the bladder stone removed, her teeth cleaned, and a benign tumor removed from her abdomen. She came home Wednesday afternoon and is doing great. She is eating and drinking well. She walks around fine and seems happy. Her stitiches (there are 2 sets of them) will be in for 2 weeks and then she will be good to go. With a new diet, we are hoping to curb any reoccurrence.

Our Musician

Here are some pictures of Aimee at her Spring Concert at LMS. She plays the clarinet and is very talented. She is currently at UNCG at the very prestigious Summer Music Camp. She has been there since last Sunday and comes home tonight after we enjoy a concert at Aycock Auditorium on the campus of UNCG.

Cake Making at its Best

After dinner tonight, Morgan decided that she wanted to "help mommy mix cakey". So... out came the bowl, ingredients and spoon. She enjoyed the whole process. Especially helping pour in the water and oil, mixing it and then when I was not looking, taking a little lick off the spoon now and again. She was so excited she could barely wait while it cooked.

The Wiggles!!!

For those of you who did not know, Morgan loves "The Wiggles". Well, we found out over the weekend that they are coming to Greensboro. We got tickets to take Morgan to see them and she is very excited. At first she thought they were coming to her house but we reassured her that they were not able to do that and she was ok with that. We are very much looking forward to her reaction to seeing "The Wiggles" Live on stage.

We should all have friends like "AmyDawn"

As an early birthday present my friend Amy (Adam's mommy) took me to enjoy my very first massage at this great place in High Point called Massage Envy. How wondefully relaxing it was!! Then she took me out to lunch at Gianno's, a great Italian place in town. I am so grateful for Thomasville Medical Center's Daycare- not only do they take good care of our babies, I met Amy there and have made an awesome new friend. What a great memory that I will have forever!!

A wonderful lunch at Childress Vineyards

Today my wonderful friends Cheryl and Sue treated me to a great birthday lunch, in advance of my birthday on Saturday, at Childress Vineyards in Lexington. Who knew that such a wonderful place existed so close to home. It was fantastic. We talked and caught up while we enjoyed the delicious food, a great glass of wine, then coffee and dessert. What a great start to a birthday weekend!! I wish I had thought to get a picture while we were there.

Happy Birthday Bob!

Bob celebrated his birthday on Monday by spending the day with his precious baby, Morgan. They went on a big lunch adventure to McDonald's (Donald's according to Morgan), then walked around the mall. It was the "best birthday I have ever had" a quote directly from the happiest Daddy on earth. Happy Birthday honey!

My Brandy "Boo-boo"

Well, I took Brandy to the vet yesterday for a grooming and checkup. She was having trouble holding her bladder. We found out that she has a stone in her bladder that will require surgery to remove, as well as a benign abdominal tumor. Her surgery is scheduled for July 11 and I will update her progress. She is not in pain, it feels to her like a bladder infection. She is on a special diet and antibiotics until the surgery.

The Deck..complete...almost

Hang on... I am going to add pictures of the deck. It is incredible. It is complete except for the spindles on the staircase closest to the back door. It is fully furnished and Morgee even has her own little sand/water table.

Our beautiful new deck...at the beginning

May 2006: Bob continuously amazes me with his talent. He decided it was time to build a deck onto the house and got right to it. He has worked and worked. Wait until you see it completed. Keep a look out for another post with updated pics.

Back from Georgia

June 2006: Morgan and I just got back from visiting my parents, who live in Albany, Georgia. They are transplants from New York and love it in the south. Morgan had a great time with Grandma and Grandpa. Here, Morgan and Grandma were relaxing before bedtime.
